The body of the missing timber trader was recovered from the gorge, raising the concern of the police

Concerns have grown for the police after the body of the missing timber merchant was seized. Such an incident took place in Sunki Ghati under Pattangi block of Koraput district. According to information, Radhakrishna Mohapatra, a resident of Pil near Powbarhouse in Jaipur area, left his house last Sunday and came to Deopattangi village of Pattangi block to buy wood and did not return home. The family members lodged a missing complaint with the Jaipur police. Although the police searched for him, but were unable to rescue him, they were able to recover the body of the missing wood merchant Mohapatra from Sunki Ghati after 4 days on Thursday. On the other hand, Jaipur and Pattangi police have identified 4 people and detained them in Pattangi police station for questioning why the deceased Mohapatra was killed and thrown in the said ghat. NY Sunabeda SDPO Manobrata Shetpathi is interrogating the detainee as to the real reason behind the murder case, while preliminary investigation revealed that the deceased Mohapatra left some money from the wood business.
