District Level National Press Day Cultivated with Great Admiration

Baripada, 16.11.2024 District-wide National Press Day has been celebrated with great pomp at the Mayurbhajan district council meeting house. District Council Chairperson Mrs. Bharti Hasada, Chief Guest and Additional District Collector Mr. Daulat Chandrakar attended the ceremony as the guest of honor and addressed all the media representatives present and said that the media is the mirror of the society, every policy and injustice happening in the society, the improvement and deterioration and the opinion seen on various issues. And it is the responsibility of the media to bring different opinions to the public. The media, which fulfills this responsibility properly and helps to create a positive environment for the development of the society, is indeed the watchdog of democracy. District Council Chief Development Officer Mr. Shantanu Kumar Naik, Additional Superintendent of Police Mrs. Savita Majhi and Senior Journalist Mr. Kalyan Kumar Sinha made this National Day a success as one of the distinguished guests in this district level program. However, the theme for this year was "Changing Face of Media" by the Press Council of India. Therefore, in the current new digital/artificial intelligence era, using various digital tools to serve people as quickly as possible and highlight the development of journalism, despite the various changes, being the watchdog of democracy, bringing correct information to the public and presenting the truth to the public is the basic mantra of journalism, so all media represent journalism. To pay and borrow the original mantra It was discussed in this lesson cycle that it is absolutely necessary for both to work in coordination with the administration for the overall development of the district. Mr. Naik, Chief Development Officer in the program said that the role of media representatives in connecting the community and informing the society is important for a healthy democracy through media, so it is necessary to educate and improve oneself with the times. In the program organized by the District Information and Public Relations Sub-Division, Anukula, media representatives from different parts of the district participated in the program and discussed the main purpose of celebrating National Press Day and asked them to uphold the dignity of journalism and work together in coordination with the press. Finally, fun-filled events were held among the journalist friends and the day was celebrated in style by all. District Information and Public Relations Officer Mr. Abinash Mani presided over the programme, Sub-District Information and Public Relations Officer Mr. Vikas Ranjan Mohanty gave vote of thanks. Sub-District Information and Public Relations Officer Saroj Kumar Pradhan managed all the work while all the media representatives of the district, all the staff including all the officers of the District Collector's Office were present and made the day-long ceremony a success.
