Honoured at Goshala Cup The Information and Public Relations Officer of Mayurbhanj district, Hon’ble Shri Shishir Kumar Mundayia, was felicitated at the Goshala Cup

The Goshala Cup, the largest day-and-night cricket tournament in North Odisha, was held at the Tulasi Choura Goshala ground in Baripada, the district headquarters of Mayurbhanj. The tournament has been named “Goshala Cup” as a mark of respect to Gomata (the sacred cow), in keeping with Indian cultural traditions. At the inaugural match, popular Odisha Government Minister Dr. Krushna Chandra Mahapatra, Baripada MLA Prakash Soren, social worker and industrialist Girish Chandra Das, respected Paresh Chandra Mohanty, senior member Barun Ghosh, Vivekananda Nayak, the President of the Goshala Cup Soumyaranjan Mishra, Gadadhar Nayak, R.K. Das, media co ordinator somnath singha, Goutam Das, all members of the club, media representatives, members and players of Dani 11 and Bajrangi The Saviour, along with many spectators, were present. The inauguration ceremony was conducted in a vibrant and festive atmosphere. On this occasion, the Information and Public Relations Officer of Mayurbhanj district, Shri Shishir Kumar Mundayia, was felicitated by the President, Shri Soumyaranjan Mishra. He expressed that with proper encouragement and promotion of such tournaments, the youth can develop interest and talent in sports, build their identity, and become self-reliant. He also assured his full support for the promotion and expansion of this initiative.
