Five-Day Block-Level ‘NISHTHA – Equity and Inclusive Education’ Training Camp Concludes at Baripada

Baripada, Sept 4, 2025: A five-day block-level training camp on ‘NISHTHA – Equity and Inclusive Education’ was successfully organized at the premises of M.K.C. High School, Baripada. The camp was inaugurated by Baripada Block Additional Cluster Education Officer Tapaswini Dash, while the program was presided over by District Inclusive Education Coordinator Niranjan Nayak. The training followed modules prepared by the State School & Mass Education Department, focusing on constitutional policies for marginalized and differently-abled learners, subject-specific lesson planning, identifying different types of disabilities, challenges faced by children both at school and home, and possible solutions. Sessions also covered the importance of inclusive yoga practices for healthy living, rules of yoga, simplified methods of practice, and the role of art in the education system. Resource persons included Rekharani Das (Cluster Resource Person, Baripada), Soumya Dash (I/C Headmaster, Purnachandrapur UPS), Madhusudan Nayak (Ahari UPS), Sharada Mishra (Block Colony UPS), and Bhanupriya Das (Chhanch Primary School). Dillip Kumar Das also extended his support as co-facilitator. Baripada Block Education Officer Dr. Abhimanyu Sethi interacted with the participants during all five days, emphasizing that every learner has the right to live with equality and dignity in society, and encouraged teachers to commit themselves to building an inclusive social structure. Conducted in four phases, the training benefitted 180 teachers from across the block. At the conclusion, all participants were awarded certificates of completion.
