Monkey killing and two trials

Lashmipur 06/11 A strange incident has come to the fore in Laxmipur block of Koraput district. Two youths have been arrested by the forest department for killing a monkey for eating meat. This incident has now played a big role in the block. It is known in the news that the hills are five kilometers away from Narayanpatna road from Laxmipur. The Ban Durga temple below is crowded with monkeys in the morning and evening. Taking advantage of it, two youths Sanjay Huika and Ranjit Huika of Narayan Patna block Sadar Khodiya Sahi came with a motorcycle and stoned a monkey to death this morning. This incident came to the attention of some youths there. Seeing this, they arrested the two youths and brought the dead monkey to the Lakshmipur Forest Department office. A case has been filed by the Lakshmipur Forest Department and Ranger Kumar Khara has revealed that the two were prosecuted for dismembering the dead body of the monkey.
