Muniguda celebrates 125th birth anniversary of Shaheed Laxman Naik

Muniguda News: - Rayagada district Muniguda Shaheed Laxman Naik Club celebrated the 125th birth anniversary of Shaheed Laxman Naik with great pomp and show. A gathering was organized on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Shaheed Laxman Naik in Muniguda with great pomp and show. The chief guest of the festival was the MLA from Bismaktak, Shri Yuktu Nilamadhav Hikoka, who paid tribute to Laxman Naik by laying a wreath at his statue. Dr. Chittaranjan Barik, an Odia professor from Vishwanathpur College, was the main speaker, while the guests of honor were Muniguda Video Krishnachandra Dalpati, President of Shaheed Laxman Naik Club, Padmanabh Behera, Sarpanch of Muniguda Panchayat, Ms. Saraswati Shabar, Baba Janaka Nandagiri from Minajhola, and retired District Welfare Officer and Literary scholar Akshay Mallick. First, the guests were welcomed with a bouquet of flowers and a welcome speech. Then, the guests lit the lamp and the Kuni Kuni girls performed the welcome Utkal Janani Sangeet. In this meeting, the guests honored the Press Club President Shri Rajiv Lochan Das and the journalist Prasad Sahukar with certificates. On the other hand, MP Representative Rajni Kant Podal, Block Congress President Nilambar Vibhar, former MP Representative Manas Ranjan Behera, Youth Congress leader Badal Behera, Senior Congress leader Bhagirti Nag, Organizer Senior Congress leader Ramesh Palaka, prominently present, garlanded the statue of freedom fighter Veerputra Shaheed Laxman Naik and paid tribute to him. During this festival, the school students of the area performed various folk dances and sangeet and presented prizes to each student who performed Sambalpuri dance. Finally, Somnath Martha, Sujit Pradhan, Madhav Ballabhbhai, were prominently present and helped in organizing the festival.
