East India Inter-University Men's Volleyball Tournament begins at Maharaja Sri Ramachandra Bhanjadeo University*

Baripada 23/11: The 5-day long East India Inter-University Men's Volleyball Tournament has begun at Maharaja Sri Ramachandra Bhanjadeo University. KIT University emerged as the champion by securing the first position in this tournament. Similarly, M.G. Kashi Vidyapeeth, Varanasi, secured the second position, Adamas University, West Bengal, secured the third position and Maharaja Sri Ramachandra Bhanjadeo University secured the fourth position. These four teams have qualified to play in the All-India Inter-University Men's Volleyball Tournament. University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Santosh Kumar Tripathi graced the opening ceremony as the chief guest and presented the trophy to the winning team. In his speech, Professor Tripathi congratulated all the players and sports officials from Eastern India for participating in this sports mega event and greeted the players present. He thanked all the staff of the university for the successful organization of this sports mega event and all the workers of the Odisha Volleyball Association for their support in organizing the games. Professor Hemant Kumar Sahu, Chairman of the University Postgraduate Council, presided over the program and expressed gratitude to all the players and officials. Registrar Shri Sahadeva Samadhya delivered the welcome speech. Director of the Sports Council Dr. Prabhanjan Mallick proposed the vote of thanks. On this occasion, the head of the protest committee of the competition and international volleyball referee Sudarsan Patnaik and the chairman of the referee board of the Odisha Volleyball Association Pramod Kumar Behera were felicitated by the Vice-Chancellor. The sports festival was successfully organized for the third time by Baripada and the university, and there was a lot of enthusiasm among the students and sports lovers of Mayurbhanj. The program was organized by the Deputy Director of the Sports Council, Dr. Shishir Behera, Finance Controller, Shukadev Tare, Examination Controller, Dr. Subrata Kumar Rana, National Referee of Odisha Volleyball Association Rajesh Das, University Volleyball Coach Ratnakar Patra, University Sports Teacher Shri Pradeep Ranjan Das, Sports Teacher of Maharaja Purna Chandra Autonomous College Satyanarayan Barik, Sports Teacher of Seemant College Shraddhananda Sahu, Sports Teacher of Kuamara College Narottam Das, Sub-Divisional Officer of Sports Council Sanjiv Kumar Tanti, Senior Steno of Postgraduate Council Ujit Kumar Das and various Sports Officers of Odisha Volleyball Association and University faculty and staff cooperated.
