District level fish and livestock fair inaugurated in Nabarangpur!

Nabarangpur, (Ranjit Nayak) Date: 24.11.2024: The district level fish and livestock fair has been inaugurated in the local Majhiguda area! The meeting was chaired by District Collector D. Subhankar Mohapatra and was attended by Hon'ble MLA Nabarangpur Gauri Shankar Majhi as the chief guest, while Hon'ble MLA Dabuga Manohar Randhri was the guest of honor, Hon'ble Minister of Schools and Public Education Representative Ramesh Sahu as the special guest, Hon'ble Member of Parliament Representative Jagdish Chandra Bishoi, Deputy Director Fisheries Department Arun Behera, District Fisheries Officer Bhavgrahi Kisan were the main stage performers! Hon'ble MLA Gauri Shankar Majhi inaugurated the district level fish and livestock fair by cutting the ribbon and visited various advanced varieties of cattle, green grass for cow feed, goats, chickens, ducks, fish, fish tanks, and turkeys along with all the guests! At the fair, stalls of horticulture, soil conservation and watershed, district community welfare, district industrial center, commercial stalls, milkiana animal feed, Harsha Trust for goat farming, regional milk production center, water pump stalls were visited! After the worship on the stage, District Chief Livestock Officer Radheshyam Like welcomed everyone and gave information about the various schemes displayed at the fair! After this, the national anthem of Odisha, Bande Utkaljanani, was sung! The chief guest and other guests in their speeches urged all the farmers present in the district to not only focus on harvesting grains like paddy, beans, and mung beans but also to cultivate cattle, goats, chickens, ducks, fish, and pigs and benefit from various government schemes and subsidies related to fish and livestock, and to participate in the development of the district! At the fair, leaflets and information were distributed to the people especially on the Chief Minister's Fishermen's Welfare Scheme and Animal Resources Prosperity Scheme! Everyone saw the success story of fish and livestock development through the LED screen! The chief guest and honored guests presented certificates, mementos, and financial awards to individuals and women self-help groups who have made financial progress with the help of various government schemes! Yudhisti Suna of Talpadar village under Umarkot block for goat farming, Maa Kaladharini Women Self-Help Group of Moti village of Kosegumuda block for broiler unit, Sukharanjan Das of Chikalpadar village of Umarkot block for fish fry production and Shri Maa Women Self-Help Group of Chandahandi block for fish farming were awarded! Farmers with special interest in fish and animal husbandry from almost all blocks registered themselves in the meeting and inquired about various schemes from the officials! Apart from the farmers, government officials DSW and Draupadi Kahur, DIPR and Manoj Behera along with various departmental officials and media representatives were present in the meeting! At the end of the meeting, District Fisheries Officer Bhavgrahi Kisan proposed vote of thanks!
