Bhanjsena demanded road widening and repair work on National Highway 49 through Bangiriposhi.

Even though road expansion and repair work on Highway 49 National Highway Maia Dwarshuni Ghati road passing through Bangiriposhi has passed for months, due to arbitrary and slow pace of work of the construction company, the Ghati road remains jammed most of the time, minor accidents occur, and the government administration too. In view of these problems, Bhanjsena, the only leading youth and student organization of Mayurbhanj district and the vigilance watch of Mayurbhanj, on Thursday 26th September, announced an indefinite hartal on National Highway 49 from 6:00 am, but from September 20th to October 20th. As the Amin, RI and unique exams of the outgoing students are being held, the public and parents of Bangiriposhi and Bishoi areas have requested the Bhanj Sena leader to postpone the said hartal till October 20 in view of the future of the students of Mayurbhanj and to comply with the written request of the parents. The founder of Kari Bhanj Sena, Mr. Keshing Keshari Jena, had decided to postpone the hartal on September 26 till October 20, but today till November 5, no leader or administration should be involved in the repair and expansion of the Ghati road. It is sad and regrettable for our mayor to remain silent on the solution but the vigilance guard of the mayor has once again taken over his stalled movement. On the call of the founder Mr. Keshing Keshari Jena, a meeting was held to resolve the ghat road problem under the chairmanship of the district tribal president of Bhanj Sena, Mr. Bajun Hasda, at the temple Bebaja today on November 5th. A proposal has been made that only routine cargo trucks, buses and general public will be allowed to ply on this road along with complete suspension of iron ore loading trucks until tenders are called and the work is started. A proposal has also been made that it will be held on the next Sunday, November 17th, near Dwarsuni temple at the time of the 11th event. In today's meeting District Vice President Ms. Kanika Bose, District Social Media Coordinator Satsathigiri, Bangiriposhi Block President Satya Prakash Mohanty, District Vice President Sankara Barik, Sarasakana Block President Hadibandhu Mahanth, Kuliana Block President Amit Kumar Babu, Bangiriposhi Student Branch President Sumit Pan, Bangiriposhi Block. Vice President Sumant Giri, Saroj Balske, Liku and many other army personnel were present.
