Nuapada district paddy procurement begins from Tarabod. Farmers' welfare will be given priority - District Collector

Nuapada, on 22.11.24, the paddy procurement for the Kharif season 2024-25 has been launched by District Collector Nuapada Madhusudan Dash at Tarabod Primary Agricultural Cooperative Society Mandi under Komna block in Nuapada district. In the ceremony organized on this occasion, District Chief Development Officer Lambadar Dharua, Komna BDO Hitansu Shekhar Samal, Tehsildar Prayashi Padhan, District Supply Officer Pradyumna Kumar Raut Ray, DRC S Shiv Prasad Swain, ARC S Mabhu Majhi, RMC Editor Arya Muduli, Cooperative Society President, Editor, Local Sarpanch, Representatives of Farmers' Organizations, Representatives of Mass Media were present. After the formal puja, the mandi The Collector launched the paddy harvesting. Drinking water and toilets have been arranged for the convenience of the farmers in the mandi. On this occasion, the Collector said that the administration has always been very sensitive to the farmers. Now the farmers can sell their hard-earned paddy with dignity at a fair price without any hassle. Paddy will be purchased from all the blocks in phases. For the first time, the farmers are feeling very happy as they have got the opportunity to get Rs 3100 per quintal with all the facilities in the mandi. The Collector has called upon all the farmers, mill owners and officials to discharge their duties efficiently for the smooth paddy harvesting in Nuapada district.
