Joint Public Grievance Hearing Camp Held in Baripada

Baripada, September 7 (Dr. G.D. Giri): A Joint Public Grievance Hearing Camp was held at Baripada, the headquarters of Mayurbhanj district, on Monday as per the pre-scheduled programme. As District Collector Hemanta Sai was unable to attend the camp due to health reasons, Additional District Magistrate Netrananda Mallik chaired the camp and heard the grievances of the public. A total of 261 complaints were received during the camp. Of these, 226 were related to individual problems, while 35 concerned village-level and community issues. One complaint was resolved immediately at the camp. No application was received on Monday seeking financial assistance from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund or the Red Cross Fund. Mr. Mallik directed the concerned departmental officials to properly examine the grievances related to their respective departments and ensure their speedy resolution within the stipulated time frame. Superintendent of Police, Mayurbhanj, Barun Guntupalli, was present at the camp and heard complaints related to law and order. Additional Collectors Dukhabandhu Nayak and Ishwar Chandra Naik, Chief Development Officer-cum-Executive Officer of the Zilla Parishad Dharmananda Behera, Baripada Sub-Collector Kasturi Panda, Baripada Divisional Forest Officer Gobinda Chandra Biswal, and Chief District Medical and Public Health Officer Dr. Biswanath Das, along with other district-level and Baripada sub-divisional-level officials from various departments, were present and assisted in the grievance hearing. Employees of the District Collector’s Office also extended active support for the smooth conduct and management of the grievance hearing camp.
